BUR Mechanically Fixed Systems

Our Cold Fusion Bonded Built-Up Roof System utilises zero flame, zero heat technology to eliminate the need for hot works on roofs. It consists of a vapour control layer, Decotherm insulation, a carrier membrane, and a Decothane waterproofing ‘cap sheet’. The system can be mechanically fixed using the FASTEC fastening system, which offers an excellent method of securing insulation to a variety of substrates.

As insulation thicknesses are increased to meet new building standards and thermal conductivity of fasteners becomes a critical issue, traditional methods of mechanical fastening are becoming outdated. FASTEC utilises the tube washer principle, which allows us to accommodate insulation thicknesses of up to 555mm. Cold bridging is practically eliminated, washer and fastener costs can remain economical, and a more positive fixing is ensured.
