Royal Preston Hospital

Joints on the split level felt roof and around the rooflights were allowing water to penetrate, placing the expensive and sensitive X-ray equipment in the building below at risk. The rooflights were discoloured which prevented natural daylight from penetrating into the building.

Barnsley District Hospital

The mortuary roof was undergoing a complete refurbishment, which meant that all of the existing mechanical and electrical equipment was being replaced. As part of the project a new waterproofing system was also required, however the roofing contractors would need to work around the other tradesmen and the mortuary below would also remain in use.
