Hygienic protection is a major concern for building owners and facilities managers who operate in the healthcare, food and drink production, and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as some of those in the leisure industry. Not only is it important to ensure the equipment used within these establishments is hygienic, but that the environment itself is too.

Our hygienic coatings for internal walls and ceilings represent one of the simplest and most effective methods of achieving a surface that is easy to clean, hard-wearing and free from joints, seams and other features that provide a hiding place for dirt and bacteria. Much more than just standard paints, our coatings are highly elastomeric and contain an inherent ingredient that prevents the growth of mould, bacteria, and fungi on its surface.

In addition to our standard range of hygiene products, we also offer an advanced range of coatings that incorporate Silver Ion Technology. The silver ions present within the coating attack bacteria in three different ways to cause the reproductive functions within the bacteria to break down, thus preventing bacterial growth.

Silver is a naturally occurring element and as such has no toxicity to humans. It has therefore been predicted that the use of silver will play a major role in the future fight against antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria such as MRSA. Key benefits of our coatings include their proven resistance to a range of bacteria (including E.Coli and MRSA), non-leaching anti-bacterial protection throughout the life of the coating, and their 99.9% kill rate.
