Lab Technician
Based in Preston
An exciting opportunity exists within our Research and Development facility in Preston for a Laboratory Technician to assist project leaders in the delivery of product research and development, undertaking a challenging position in a modern working environment.
Qualified to GCSE or equivalent level in Chemistry or another science subject and ideally qualified to A’ level or equivalent in Chemistry or science related subject, and possessing good organisational skills to assist in the smooth running of the department. An understanding of equipment, calibration, maintaining stock levels and workplace EHS would be desirable, as the candidate would be responsible for:
• Undertaking investigations in response to customer enquiries, manufacturing and quality issues
• Undertaking equipment calibrations and sourcing new equipment
• Maintaining existing equipment and stock levels
• Recording, presenting and analysing data
Whilst previous experience is advantageous, you will be required to show practical ability bringing both the enthusiasm to learn and the motivation to deliver. You will possess a creative and innovative approach to solving problems and have a strong desire to succeed.
