QA Award Winners 2009
21st December 2009 – Liquid Plastics, pioneer of liquid roofing technology, is proud to announce the winners of its Contractor of the Year Awards 2009 as voted for by members of the Quality Assured Contractor programme. Stormforce Roofing and Maintenance won the award for projects under 3,000m2 and Rio Asphalt took home the award for projects over 3,000m2.
“To receive recognition for our work from Liquid Plastics and our peers is a real accolade,” comments Ian Deacon, Managing Director at Rio Asphalt, on accepting his award for work completed on a project for a major global financial institution. “Not only is it a great achievement for our team but it is also testament to the excellent working relationship we have with the manufacturer.”
Stormforce Roofing and Maintenance took home their award for the work completed on Truro Law Courts. Simon Kalas, a Director at Stormforce collected the award; “I would like to thank Liquid Plastics for their support during this and our other projects and also congratulate the team who worked on Truro. It’s great to see a manufacturer acknowledging the work of the contractors.”
This year’s QA Conference, which took place at Aintree Racecourse, also saw the presentation of the Applicator of the Year Award by Liquid Plastics’ Technical Field Services Team. Steve Bell from MITIE Tilley Roofing won the award for his work on the Metro Centre in Gateshead. Steve Cookson, Technical Services Manager at Liquid Plastics commented; “The Metro Centre is possibly one of the biggest projects we have ever worked on but Steve Bell’s skill and dedication to the job has resulted in a very satisfied customer.”
