Record Sales for Liquid Plastics
19th January 2010 - 2009 proved to be a successful year for Liquid Plastics, pioneer of liquid roofing technology, despite much of the industry still experiencing an economic downturn. The company, which manufactures liquid applied roofing membranes, achieved 16% growth on 2008 and record sales in the UK.
Liquid Plastics is renowned for its technologically advanced liquid applied roofing systems and aims to be an industry leader, developing new products that help to shape tomorrow’s roofing market – such as its revolutionary Cold Fusion Bonded Built-Up Roof System, which launched nearly six years ago. This system also led to Liquid Plastics achieving the first BBA certificate for a cold applied built-up system.
Since its formation in the mid 1960's, Liquid Plastics has gone from strength to strength, expanding its original site in Lancashire and opening new offices overseas. And following the company’s acquisition by Swiss firm Sika at the start of 2009, Liquid Plastics looks set for even further growth as its products are launched around the world.
Steve Sullivan, Liquid Plastics’ Managing Director, comments; “We are fully aware of the troubles many are experiencing in the economy, and in particular in the construction industry, however we are confident that with the dedication of our team we will continue to gain ground in the roofing market.”
For Liquid Plastics it has been a cautious start to 2010, but plans are in place for the company to grow again this year as it continues to pursue new avenues within the construction industry and strives to develop technologically advanced products that support the company’s position as a market leader.
